Summary:
Support next-generation autonomous aircraft programs, including Orion, AACUS, and the Odysseus solar aircraft
Contribute to aircraft design, systems requirements, safety analysis, and certification efforts
Assist in verification and flight testing of aircraft and subsystems
Apply both traditional and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies
Define and manage system performance requirements to ensure compatibility across components
Perform analyses to improve affordability, safety, and reliability
Develop strategies for system maintainability, survivability, and security
Oversee requirements, risk management, and technical issue resolution across disciplines
Create and refine Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and top-level system requirements
Generate safety artifacts, including FHAs, FTAs, and FMEAs, in accordance with SAE ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
2 3 years of relevant experience
Aerospace industry experience required
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR regulations)
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with FAA aircraft certification processes
Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo
Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS
