Job Title: Aerospace Systems Engineer

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Support next-generation autonomous aircraft programs, including Orion, AACUS, and the Odysseus solar aircraft

• Contribute to aircraft design, systems requirements, safety analysis, and certification efforts

• Assist in verification and flight testing of aircraft and subsystems

• Apply both traditional and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies

• Define and manage system performance requirements to ensure compatibility across components

• Perform analyses to improve affordability, safety, and reliability

• Develop strategies for system maintainability, survivability, and security

• Oversee requirements, risk management, and technical issue resolution across disciplines

• Create and refine Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and top-level system requirements

• Generate safety artifacts, including FHAs, FTAs, and FMEAs, in accordance with SAE ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.

• 2 3 years of relevant experience

• Aerospace industry experience required

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR regulations)

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with FAA aircraft certification processes

• Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo

• Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS
