The Department of Political Science at DePauw University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. Ph.D. (completed by August 2026) in Political Science is preferred; ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department specifically seeks candidates to teach introductory American Politics classes and upper-level courses in any area of American Politics of the candidate's choosing, after consultation with the department. Ability to offer advanced courses on the institutions of American government and/or constitutional law are welcome. Teaching assignment is 6 courses per year, and funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
