DACUT is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to support corporate financial operations across our vertically integrated cannabis business. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, tax strategy, and providing accurate, timely insights to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience navigating complex regulatory environments, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP , state regulations, and internal controls
Manage and oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
Support tax planning, preparation, and filings , including cannabis-specific considerations (e.g., 280E)
Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and advisors
Monitor cash flow, cost controls, and operational spending
Assist with process improvements and financial system optimization
Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness
Active CPA license (required)
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and accounting software
High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with executives and department leaders
Experience in cannabis, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with IRC 280E and cannabis tax structures
Public accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm experience a plus)
Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations
Accurate, timely financial reporting delivered consistently
Strong compliance posture with minimal audit findings
