Fort Myers Broadcasting Company is a family-owned business with numerous affiliates, including WINK News (CBS Affiliate), various local radio and television stations, and digital and print media outlets . If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want hands-on experience in the field of Human Resources, this internship is a great opportunity to learn and grow with an established, respected company.

Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

• Organize employee files by scanning paper files into digital format
• Gain hands-on experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
• Gain hands-on experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
• Learn and assist with the hiring, onboarding, and orientation process
• Observe and support day-to-day HR operations with the HR Director and Employee Relations Specialist
• Perform administrative duties including scanning, filing, emailing, and updating spreadsheets
• Assist with employee engagement activities and HR projects as needed

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds (e.g., file boxes, office supplies)
• Ability to bend, reach, and carry files as needed
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (scanner, copier, etc.)
