Pierce Flooring and Design Center is looking for an In-House Installation Helper!! Are you looking to learn a trade where a company will train you? If yes then please apply!! This position will perform flooring installations while learning and improving your installation skills under the direction of the In-House Installation Director or In-House Installation Team Leader. In addition to learning and improving your installation skills in all product categories, you will also be taught on how to operate in a professional and technically correct manner at all times. Upon completion of the helper training program, it is our intention of promoting this position to become an In-House Installation Journeyman. In the Journeyman position, you will be improving and perfecting your installation skills. Upon completion of the journeyman program, it would be our intention of promoting that position to become an In-House Installation Team Leader and help train additional helpers to become Journeyman Installers and future Team Leaders.
Responsibilities:
· Perform full flooring installations in a helper’s capacity
· Help to ensure customer satisfaction by your interactions, professional work and cleaning of job site once completed
· Strive to get through the training in a 9-month turnaround time period to get promoted to In-House Installation Journeyman
· Help to keep company vehicle in a clean and properly maintained condition
· Communicate frequently with your In-House Installation Director, In-House Installation Team Leader and the management team
· Maintain a professional looking appearance at all times as designated by the company attire policy
· Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Ability to carry flooring products, lifting flooring products, standing, crawling, kneeling, bending and reaching
· Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
· Ability to communicate effectively with others
· Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
· Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
· Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
· Willingness to be trained in all flooring installation categories
Job will be based on a 40-hour work week but there will be times that additional hours will be required to complete jobs in a timely manner. Travel will be a part of this position with overnight stays, out of town, a possibility. We anticipate this occurring periodically and increasing to moderate and this newly created position evolves
