Total Veterinary Care in Buford, GA, is looking for a dedicated, motivated, and experienced vet assistant  to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about animal care, client education, and have proven skills as a vet assistant, we want to hear from you!

Hiring range: $16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience and skill-level.

Schedule:

• Must be available to work a part-time schedule (18-27 hrs per week)
• Schedule: 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., 2-3 days per week

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a minimum of 24 months of part-time experience OR 12 months of full-time experience as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary hospital , and has the ability to demonstrate proper restraining techniques, in-house laboratory skills, catheter placement, blood draws, ability to accurately fill prescriptions, client education skills, etc. 
• Has solid soft skills/people skills including effective communication with clients and fellow team members, problem-solving, work ethic, maturity, time-management, and other interpersonal skills
• Has a solid understanding of preventative medications, medical terminology and calculations, and a passion for client education
• Takes initiative by preparing for each day’s appointments, taking phone calls, setting appointments, taking medical history of patients, assisting veterinarians in surgery, physical exams, and diagnostic workups
• Can demonstrate efficient organization and has the ability to pay attention to multiple details  by taking initiative and staying motivated to provide excellent service to our clients
• Has a positive attitude and is an effective and respectful team player
