Employment starts at the base salary of $44,125.20
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
Must be willing to travel, when necessary, within the state of Florida and occasionally overnight on short notice.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
Prepares correspondence as necessary for processing insurance licensing applications or in response to requests from applicants, licensees, or other individuals regarding licensure requirements.
Analyzes education training required for pre-licensing requirements to qualify applicants for examinations.
Conducts special reviews and evaluations of applicants, with or without criminal history or administrative action, to determine eligibility for licensure in accordance with well-established and accepted practices as defined by Florida Statutes, rules, department policies, and procedures.
Conducts special analyzes of court documents and other legal documents related to criminal history and administrative action, then prepares summary reports noting a recommendation to grant with disciplinary action, or that includes reference between violation and Florida law as justification for the recommendation.
Provides the Bureau of Licensing’s management a written presentation, providing a recommendation regarding applicants with a background containing matters of a regulatory nature, i.e., with criminal history or administrative action.
Assists the Bureau and Division with issues resulting from denial of applications or disciplinary actions, including participating in informal or formal hearings when warranted.
Provides assistance and responds to Service Requests, as needed.
Accurately prepares and maintains the Hearing Requested, Denial Language, Settlement Stipulation, BOI Investigation, Crime Classification, NAIC Transaction Utility, CAU Service Request Response, Certified Mail, Resident Denial, Non-Resident Denial, Permanent Bar, Rescind Denial, Criminal Grants, Sealed/Expunged and Monthly Management spreadsheets.
Performs other related duties as required.
