Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a Miami-based boat builder/seller/dealer who is seeking a seasoned  Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is on a consulting to hire basis, and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. As the Controller, you will oversee a team of 3 and ensure the seamless financial operations of our client’s organization.

Title: Controller
Location: Miami, FL (North Miami area)
Hourly Rate: Pay $65-$75 per hour

Job Type: Temp to hire
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of 3 (Sr. Acct, Staff Acct, and Accounts Payable Clerk).
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Heavy inventory focus and percentage of completion for revenue recognition and cost accounting.
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Manage procurement and relationships with vendors

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller role.
• Solid accounting expertise and able to handle day to day accounting functions
• Strong systems proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Strong Excel expertise is required.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills including strategic consideration and thinking about the future.
• Ability to work onsite 3-4 days a week in North Miami, FL.
• Demonstrated success in managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working with a team-minded approach and with senior leadership.
