Overview:
This role focuses on building and enforcing a data governance framework to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement data governance policies and standards.
Develop data classification, ownership, and lifecycle management processes.
Drive data quality management and compliance with regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
Manage metadata, data catalogs, lineage, and documentation.
Lead governance forums and partner with security and technology teams.
Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
Oversee governance tools and ensure consistent data management practices.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in data governance or management (leadership experience preferred).
Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
Experience with data cataloging, quality, and governance tools.
Insurance industry experience a plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Bachelor's or Master's in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications such as CDMP or DM-BOK preferred.
