Description The Warehouse Agent receives/ships and handles e-commerce parcels within the cargo warehouse following established guidelines. Parcel handling activities may take place inside the cargo warehouse, airside, or landside. The Warehouse Agent will also drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. This position will require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching
. Key Responsibilities - Handles parcels through the parcel handling system, by introducing parcels through the roller system and x-ray units.
- Inspects the cargo at the time of acceptance for signs of tampering, damage, or pilferage.
- Reports any irregularities to the management team.
- Transfers freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or hand truck.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination.
- Sorts and stores dangerous goods in proper area.
- Fill requisitions, work orders or request for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to other locations.
- Open gaylords, and other containers for break down. Records counts of items received or distributed when instructed to do so.
- Weighs and counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill.
- Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdown to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.
- Ensure that work areas are clean and hazard free of loose nets, strap, etc.
- Must practice all company’s Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
- Screen cargo through physical search and X-ray screening.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $19 - $21.00 per hour. Schedule available: 19:00-07:30 Sunday-Wednesday, Wednesday-Saturday All hires are required to undergo and pass security clearances (10-year criminal background check), 5 years employment and educational verification, drug screen and physical test.
Qualifications - Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Must have current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
- Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
- Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Must pass pre-employment medical and a drug test.

Work is done both indoors and outdoors, sometimes with no AC or Heating.
This individual will also work with disgruntled customers throughout the airport and must maintain a positive attitude when representing our company and communicating with customers within the airport.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
Other tasks include lifting passenger bags up to 70lbs which could also involve bending and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70lbs.
