Summary:

A warehouse picker-packer retrieves items from storage, verifies them against an order, and packages them securely for shipment, often using scanning devices and maintaining inventory records. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Locating and gathering specific products from warehouse inventory based on customer orders or invoices.
• Inspecting picked items to ensure accuracy in quantity, type, and condition, checking for any defects before packing.
• Securely wrapping and packaging products to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate materials.
• Affixing shipping labels and other necessary identification information to packages.
• Updating inventory records using scanners and other devices to keep track of stock levels and ensure accuracy.
• Preparing packages for dispatch, which may involve weighing, sealing, and loading onto conveyor systems or trucks.
• Picking orders inside the aisles using a manual pallet jack and palletizing the orders.
• RF experience required, SAP a plus

 Essential Skills and Qualities

• Physical Stamina:The ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (often up to 50 lbs) for extended periods. 
• Attention to Detail:Crucial for accurately picking items and ensuring order correctness. 
• Technical Proficiency:Familiarity with using electronic scanners, computers, and other automated systems to track inventory and process orders. 
• Organizational Skills:Essential for maintaining an orderly workspace and efficient workflow. 
• Communication:Clear communication with team members and supervisors. 
• Work Ethic:A strong commitment to completing tasks efficiently and safely. 
• Attendance: All associates should be on time, have good attendance and be able to work in extreme heat.
• Able to stand/walk for entire shift which could be 8 to 12 hours depending on output
• Open to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays
• Job is very repetitive, able to do same function for the entire shift
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds continuously
• Able to follow work instructions and make product decisions of good and bad based on provided criteria
• Able to follow packing instructions on computer screen and with visual aids
• Willing to be cross-trained in different departments to help as needed
