**Job Title: Industrial Painter** **Job Description** The industrial painter is responsible for executing various painting processes, ensuring high-quality finishes on parts through meticulous preparation and application techniques. **Responsibilities** + Perform general paint preparation functions including sanding, grinding, polishing, masking, and priming parts. + Operate hand-held grinders and machine grinders to polish parts after painting or to remove surface layers before priming and painting. + Manually hang parts up to 50 pounds on elevated hook-conveyors or use overhead and jib cranes for parts exceeding 50 pounds. + Apply industrial coats of paint using high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) guns. + Conduct visual inspections on painted parts to identify defects, runs, and ensure accurate color matching. **Essential Skills** + Experience in industrial painting applications, specifically in powder coating and electrostatic application processes. + Proficiency in all paint preparation functions. + Ability to operate shop equipment including hand grinders/sanders, overhead/jib cranes, hoists, and forklifts. + Capability to handle materials and execute the complete painting process independently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with paint mixing and conducting in-depth quality checks. + Mechanical or preventative maintenance experience on paint chambers or systems is highly desired. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers a chance to work in a small, family-owned business where employees are valued beyond just numbers. Painters will be involved in all paint preparation and part handling functions within the main building but will transition to a separate area for blasting or painting. The team consists of approximately 5-10 employees in this area, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waynesboro, PA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
